Israel strikes Gaza tent camp, 14 killed

An Israeli airstrike on a tent camp for internally displaced people in the Gaza Strip has killed 14 Palestinians and wounded 25 others.

The Palestinian WAFA news agency reported that Israeli forces attacked tents in the al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.

The dead included women and children, according to reports.

The Gaza Strip is under a strict Israeli blockade, which limits access to humanitarian aid.

The enclave is facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to acute shortages of food, water, medicine, medical equipment and hygiene supplies.
