"Referendum, constitutional amendment, dissolution of the Minsk group": Bayramov again puts forward preconditions
![]() 590 Tuesday, 22 July, 2025, 14:51 In order to achieve final peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it is necessary to hold a referendum in Armenia, exclude territorial claims against Azerbaijan from its constitution, and abolish the OSCE Minsk Group. As reported by APA's Tbilisi correspondent, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made this statement at a joint press conference in Tbilisi with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili. He noted the need to hold a referendum, take steps to abolish the institutions of the Minsk process that have lost their significance and actually do not exist, as well as the Minsk Group itself. Jeyhun Bayramov noted that during the meeting he informed Maka Bochorishvili about the progress of restoration work in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as about the process of returning former internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands and the enormous amount of work that has been done. The minister emphasized that the mine threat remains the main problem in the issue of safe return. |
