The Thai Air Force has used F-16 fighter jets to carry out airstrikes on Cambodian military positions in border areas, The Nation newspaper reported, citing a statement from the Thai Air Force.
The strikes on targets near the Preah Vihear, Ta Mueang Thom and Phu Makua temple complexes were carried out in response to Cambodia's use of heavy weapons on Thai residential buildings and hospitals. The department noted that all fighter jets returned safely to their bases after completing the mission.
