![]() 658 Monday, 28 July, 2025, 11:15 Cambodia is preparing for a major military operation in the border areas with Thailand ahead of peace talks scheduled for Monday in Kuala Lumpur, the Thai government said in a statement. “Cambodian attacks continue to be of a periodic nature and constitute violations of the rules of engagement, creating additional risks for residents of the border areas. The situation remains extremely tense, and it is believed that Cambodia may be preparing for a major military operation before the talks begin,” the statement on the Thai government’s website said. Earlier, it was reported that the two sides were likely to hold talks in Kuala Lumpur on Monday. |
