Lukashenko: "Ukraine should "run" and ask Putin to sit down at the negotiating table"
![]() 793 Friday, 01 August, 2025, 18:57 Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that Ukraine should “run” to ask Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table. “Ukraine should run today to ask: ‘Vladimir Vladimirovich, let’s sit at the negotiating table, let’s come to an agreement.’ Otherwise, in a month or two, there won’t even be any defense structures left there. The Russians will slowly gnaw through all of that, return it and move on,” Lukashenko said, answering journalists’ questions during a meeting with Putin on Valaam. According to the Belarusian president, it is necessary to come to an agreement. “If they (the Ukrainian authorities) want something, they should run towards it,” he noted. |
