Donald Trump announced that he ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to the appropriate areas due to Dmitry Medvedev's words.

"Based on the highly provocative statements of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev... I have ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to the appropriate regions," he wrote on his Truth Social social network.

According to Trump, the words could lead to "unintended consequences," and he hopes that "this time it will not happen."

Earlier, Trump advised Medvedev to be careful with his words, noting that he was entering dangerous territory.

In response, Medvedev said that "if the words of the former president cause such a nervous reaction in the US president, then Russia is right in everything and will continue to go its own way."

Medvedev also reminded of the possibility of an automatic nuclear strike by Russia, which implies a retaliatory strike even after the destruction of the army command.
