"Russia will take additional measures to prevent grain trucks from entering Armenia through Upper Lars" - Overchuk

The Russian government has instructed the competent authorities to ensure the passage of grain trucks to Armenia through the Upper Lars checkpoint, after traffic was suspended due to a mudslide.
“At the request of Armenia, the competent authorities of the Russian Federation have been instructed to take additional measures to organize the passage of grain trucks from Russia to the Republic of Armenia through the Upper Lars, the movement of which was limited due to bad weather and mudslides. We are trying to minimize delays in the supply of grain needed by Armenia,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told reporters.
Recall that on July 31, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway was closed to all types of vehicles due to the threat of mudslides.
