The Palestinian Hamas movement has expressed its readiness to withdraw its militants from the Gaza Strip, Al Arabiya reported, citing sources.
"Hamas has expressed its readiness to withdraw its militants in exchange for the withdrawal of Israeli forces to previously agreed positions, emphasizing its commitment to preserving the lives of the hostages," the sources told the channel.
According to the sources, the movement "demanded a written agreement with Israel" that includes international guarantees "to stop Israel's plans to occupy Gaza" and not to resume military operations.
The sources also noted that Egypt is developing a plan for a comprehensive agreement on Gaza, which should be implemented by the end of August.
