![]() 582 Thursday, 14 August, 2025, 11:06 The agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington is a very positive development in terms of the development of bilateral relations. This was expressed by the Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Qasim Mohiuddin. “Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called the Azerbaijani President and congratulated him on this achievement,” he noted. The ambassador also noted that Pakistan does not intend to change its policy towards Armenia without prior consultations with Azerbaijan. The diplomat recalled that Pakistan has not yet recognized Armenia as an independent state “due to the illegal occupation of Azerbaijani territories.” “This is a manifestation of love, respect and solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan. We have been committed to this policy for three decades, changes are possible only after consultations with our friends in Azerbaijan,” the diplomat said. |
