Arman Tatoyan: "For USCIRF I submitted a report addressing two principal issues"

For the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), last week I submitted a report addressing two principal issues:
1. The actions of the Prime Minister and the authorities of Armenia with respect to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and its clergy.
2. The policies of Azerbaijan toward the Armenian Church.
In order to highlight the essential role of USCIRF, it should be emphasized that the Commission’s primary responsibilities include examining the facts and circumstances of violations of religious freedom at the international level and submitting policy recommendations to the President, the Secretary of State, and the Congress.
The Commissioners of USCIRF are appointed by the President of the United States, as well as by the leadership of both political parties in the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Upon the completion of the report, a discussion was held on the issues raised in the report.
This report discussion was held with the support of the prominent organization Christian Solidarity International (CSI).
