"Any potential resistance to the transfer of Armenia under American control is eliminated" - American political scientist

What is happening with businessman Samvel Karapetyan is an example of using the Armenian judicial system as a weapon, American political scientist Greg Simons noted in an interview with RT.
“A purge is being carried out, any potential resistance to placing Armenia under American control is being eliminated. All this, most likely, under the standard hypocritical slogans of protecting the country’s democracy, freedom and sovereignty,” Simons is sure.
American analyst Finn Mizesa, in turn, expressed the opinion that the Armenian authorities have no grounds for extending Karapetyan’s detention, and the republic is paying a high price for “possible rapprochement with Europe,” in connection with which there are no guarantees.
Let us recall that on August 15, the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia extended Samvel Karapetyan’s pre-trial detention for two months.
