#Reuters: "Zelensky considers it impossible for Ukraine to cede the entire territory of Donbas to Russia"

Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with US President Donald Trump following his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, called it impossible for Ukraine to cede the entire territory of Donbass to Russia. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.

According to him, during a telephone conversation that lasted about an hour and a half, Trump informed Zelensky about the results of the summit in Alaska, noting that the Russian leadership allegedly "offered to freeze the front line" on the condition of "a complete withdrawal of troops by Ukraine" from the DPR and LPR. As the agency's source noted, Zelensky "said that this was impossible." In another article, Reuters cites the source's data, according to which Zelensky "rejected this demand."

The Washington Post, in turn, draws attention to the fact that Trump's conversation with Zelensky and European leaders, which followed their one-on-one conversation, was "much more tense" compared to their consultations that took place on the eve of the summit.

The New York Times previously reported, citing sources, that after meeting with Putin in Alaska, Trump offered European leaders a peace plan that would involve Ukraine ceding all of Donbas to Russia, including areas not yet liberated by Russian troops.
