 385 Monday, 25 August, 2025, 11:54 Canada has invested about $500 million in the PURL program to purchase American weapons for Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmyhal announced. After meeting with his Canadian counterpart, the Defense Minister also said that they discussed expanding industrial cooperation, in particular, investing in joint production of unmanned aerial vehicles with Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte welcomed the announcement as a strong demonstration of Canada's continued commitment to Ukraine's defence. |
