Putin and Pezeshkian discussed developments in the South Caucasus

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, RIA Novosti reported.
“Vladimir Putin reported on the main results of the Russian-American summit in Anchorage. Masoud Pezeshkian expressed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis,” the statement said.
The presidents also discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, and developments in the South Caucasus region.
