"Attacks on Druzhba pipeline are tantamount to attacks on Hungary and Slovakia" - Szijjarto

The attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline by Ukraine are, in fact, equivalent to attacks on Hungary and Slovakia, which receive raw materials from Russia via this route. This was stated by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó, commenting on Ukraine’s actions and its threats towards neighboring countries.
“These attacks are directed against Hungary and Slovakia, they harm Hungary and Slovakia, not Russia,” Szijjártó said.
According to him, in this way Kiev, with the support of Brussels, which has remained silent about the attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline, is trying to put pressure on Budapest to force it to change its position on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and Ukraine’s accession to the EU. A position that “completely contradicts Hungary’s interests, but corresponds to Ukrainian interests,” the minister explained.
Recall that Ukraine had attacked the Druzhba pipeline at least three times, as a result of which Russian gas supplies to Hungary and Slovakia were suspended.
