"Israel has not responded to the mediators' proposal" - Qatari Foreign Ministry

Israel has not responded in any way to the latest ceasefire proposal presented by mediators in the Gaza Strip, despite the fact that the Palestinian Hamas movement had agreed to terms acceptable to it, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said.
“Israel has not given any official response to the ceasefire proposal in the Gaza Strip, either positive or negative, and has not offered any alternative,” al-Ansari said.
“The ball is now in Israel’s court, which clearly does not want to come to an agreement,” the Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman added.
“We call on the international community to put pressure on Israel to accept the agreement in the Gaza Strip,” he concluded.
