Patriarchal Prayer Marks 26th Anniversary of the Catholicos of All Armenians’ Enthronement at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On November 2, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, a Patriarchal Prayer was offered following the Divine Liturgy.

In accordance with the established order, the reliquary containing the holy relics of Skevra was brought out for the veneration of the faithful.

Present at the solemn ceremony were the diocesan primates of the Armenian Church, members of the Supreme Spiritual Council, the clergy of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and Armenian pilgrims. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Haykazun Najarian, a congregant of the Mother See.

In his sermon, the Celebrant congratulated His Holiness on the anniversary of his consecration and enthronement. Archbishop Haykazun commended the fruitful activity and numerous accomplishments of Karekin II in the spiritual, cultural, educational, and church-building spheres, offering prayers for the steadfast and unwavering shepherding ministry of His Holiness for the glory of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, for the comfort of the God-loving people, and for the well-being of the Homeland.

On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the enthronement of the Catholicos of All Armenians, a Patriarchal Prayer was offered before the Altar of Descent, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisian, Director of the Department of External Relations and Protocol of the Mother See.

Those present lifted prayers to Almighty God for the prosperity of the Catholicosate of All Armenians, for the steadfastness and radiance of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and for the robust health, blessed longevity, and many years of patriarchal ministry of His Holiness.
