The construction of the Zangezur corridor in Azerbaijan is continuing rapidly, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, APA reports.
Ali Asadov said that this railway, with a cargo carrying capacity of 15 million tons at the initial stage, will become the main artery of the Middle Corridor.
"It is gratifying that the foundation of the Kars-Nakhchivan railway line was laid in August. This railway is part of the Zangezur corridor. The route will serve Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and other countries," he said.
