Former Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalai was detained in Tbilisi for organizing the storming of the presidential palace during anti-government protests on October 4. This was reported on December 25 by the Georgian State Security Service.
"As a result of processing the information seized on the basis of the judge's ruling, it was established that during the criminal events on October 4, Akhalaya directed these events through an Internet application and was the main organizer," a representative of the department said at a briefing, the broadcast was posted on the service's Facebook page.
