Estimated 50 years: in Britain they called the Soviet comedy an "eternal" New Year's film

The Soviet cult comedy "The Irony of Fate, or with a light steam" by Eldar Ryazanov became one of the best New Year's films along with Hollywood classics. The list of "eternal" paintings for the New Year was published by The Guardian portal.
"New Year's confusion acquires a special meaning in Soviet reality: Moscow doctor Zhenya mistakenly flies to Leningrad and finds himself in an apartment with the same address. Comical twists, melancholy guitar and Tariverdiev's songs follow. The film is both epic and intimate, with the feeling that these two may have been walking towards each other for too long," the description of the film says, indicating the main actors — Oleg Myagkov and Barbara Brylska.
The portal also notes that the remake of this 2022 film is "everyone has forgotten," but the 1975 original is "everyone knows."
