On April 14, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance announced that he had achieved his goals as part of the military operation against Iran and was ready to move on to ending the conflict.
According to Vance, the current situation allows for a gradual curtailment of hostilities.
"I really believe that we are in a situation where our goals have been achieved. We can start to wind it down," he said.
The Vice President also stressed that he would prefer to end the confrontation through diplomacy.
"I would prefer to conclude this with successful negotiations," he added.
