Putin's superyachts and those of Russian billionaires have gathered off the coast of Turkey

The superyachts belonging to Vladimir Putin and at least six Russian billionaires have gathered off the southern coast of Turkey near Bodrum.

In particular, the 71-meter yacht “Victoria,” used by Putin and his family, has been near the village of Bozbük since June 26. The vessel, valued at between $30 million and $50 million, was previously based in Sochi and is formally owned by entities linked to Putin’s friend Gennady Timchenko. It left the Krasnodar Krai at the end of June, passed through the Bosphorus, and headed for the Turkish coast, where it anchored just 400 meters from the beaches of a five-star hotel.

Within a 150-kilometer radius of this vessel are yachts linked to Russian businessmen and officials. Just 800 meters away is Roman Abramovich’s 55-meter yacht, the “Rhea.” Thirty kilometers away is the 62-meter “Serenity & Unity,” used by VTB head Andrei Kostin and Naila Asker-zade. Also spotted in this region are Vagit Alekperov’s 80-meter yacht “Genesis,” Alexander Nesis’s 82-meter “Romea,” Oleg Deripaska’s 73-meter “Altair,” and the 73-meter “Predator,” which is linked to Iskandar Makhmudov.

In total, nine yachts are linked to Putin. Another vessel associated with him is the 80-meter yacht “Graceful,” valued at approximately $100 million. — In early July, it was relocated from the Baltic Sea to Severomorsk, the main base of the Russian Northern Fleet, due to the threat of attacks by Ukrainian drones.

During its passage through the Baltic and North Seas, the yacht was escorted by a Russian destroyer and a “Voevoda”-class vessel under the supervision of the German Coast Guard and the Danish Navy. After passing along the Norwegian coast, the vessels turned off their transponders; however, satellite images from July 5 showed the Graceful and the “Voevoda” docked at a military base 70 km from Severomorsk.
