Jeyhun Bayramov: TRIPP project is important for the region

The TRIPP project is of great importance to the region, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.
According to Report, Bayramov made the remarks during a briefing in Baku with Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
According to the minister, several developments are expected in the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the TRIPP project-included in the Washington Peace Summit document-being one of them.
"This project is very important for the region. Azerbaijan regularly receives updates from the United States on the progress of the process. We expect physical construction work to begin on the 42-kilometer section in 2026. The Azerbaijani state is promptly fulfilling all of its obligations," Bayramov said.
