Explosion reported at ammunition depot in Azerbaijan

An explosion occurred at an ammunition depot near the village of Nizami in Azerbaijan’s Goranboy district in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Azerbaijani news agencies reported that the blast was followed by a fire and that people in the vicinity of the site were evacuated as a precaution until the situation was brought under control. No casualties were reported. The cause of the blast was not immediately reported.
