Trump announced CIA Director's involvement in resolving the conflict in Ukraine

The head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe, is involved in all aspects of negotiations for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, President Donald Trump stated aboard Air Force One en route from Ireland to the US.
"Ratcliffe is doing an excellent job. He is involved in everything," the American leader told reporters.
Trump also emphasized that his special envoy Steve Whitkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner are also "doing an excellent job" as negotiators.
Earlier, CIA Press Secretary Liz Lyons dismissed as inaccurate claims by the Financial Times that Ratcliffe was preparing to take on a more active role in the negotiation process to settle the conflict in Ukraine. The CIA director visited Moscow on August 25. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov then said that Ratcliffe’s trip was related to contacts between the intelligence services of the two countries.
