Russian Ambassador to Britain: Banned from entering the British Parliament

According to a statement from the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Lord Speaker, Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrei Kelin has been banned from the Houses of Parliament in Westminster “until further notice”.

The ban, which also applies to all other accredited Russian diplomats and officials in the UK, has been in effect unofficially since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February.
However, only now has this been confirmed in writing for the first time.
The statement said that Andrei Kelin, as an officially accredited representative of the Russian government, will not be admitted to parliament by special order.
