Blinken: Bulgaria to import almost all necessary gas from Azerbaijan, US in 2024

The newly constructed Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) is allowing Bulgaria to diversify its supplies and shift from Russian gas, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said during his meeting with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Tuesday, February 21.
“Bulgaria wil be able to import nearly 100 percent of its domestic gas needs through Azerbaijan and through the United States due to the iterconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB)”, added Blinken.
