#AlJazeera: 12 buses carrying 600 Palestinian prisoners arrived Gaza
![]() 1100 Thursday, 27 February, 2025, 15:44 Twelve buses carrying at least 600 freed Palestinian prisoners have arrived at the European Hospital in southern Gaza's Khan Younis, where the released prisoners will undergo medical checks before being reunited with their loved ones. A ceasefire has been in effect in the Gaza Strip since January 19 as part of an agreement reached between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement. According to the agreement, Israeli hostages will be released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
