![]() 488 Thursday, 13 March, 2025, 11:56 The European Parliament has recognized Armenians held in Azerbaijan as prisoners of war and demanded their immediate release. The resolution was discussed in the European Parliament last night, and the document will be put to a vote this afternoon. All the main factions in the parliament have joined the resolution. “We can no longer remain silent,” said Magina Mezhug, one of the co-authors of the resolution, adding, “The only crime these people committed was that they defended their land, their people and their rights. If we do not take any steps now, it will mean that we are sending a clear signal to Aliyev that he can continue what he is doing to Armenia with impunity.” |
