"Maidan methods will not work in Serbia" - Vucic

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the methods of the 2014 Kiev Maidan will not be used in Serbia, and has accused opponents of spreading disinformation about the alleged use of a “sound cannon” by the authorities during the March 15 protests.
Former Serbian Chief of General Staff and opposition leader Zdravko Ponos had earlier written on social media that during the 15-minute silence in memory of the 15 people who died in the collapse of a roof at the Novi Sad railway station on November 1, 2024, the police allegedly used a sound system.
“When all else fails, the only thing left to do is lie, and they invented the story of the sound cannon.”
According to Vučić, none of the protesters on March 15 sought medical help due to the effects of the alleged use of a sound cannon.
"They cannot show or prove it, and they continue to invent it. Why are they doing this, dear citizens? The same thing was done in Maidan: remember the accusations that Yanukovych allegedly brought snipers who shot at people. They invented another brazen lie, thinking that this way they will destroy Serbia," the Serbian president emphasized, adding that "a copy of Maidan will not work, Serbia will win."
