The death toll from Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip has exceeded 230 people

The death toll from Israeli rocket fire on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 230, Al Aqsa TV reported, citing the enclave's authorities.
"According to preliminary data, more than 230 people were killed and 350 were injured, most of them women and children, as a result of Zionist (Israeli) airstrikes," the channel reported.
The strikes were carried out in the cities of Gaza, Deir el-Balah, Khan Yunis and Rafah, Reuters reported.
This time, the Israeli strikes were more powerful than usual, Reuters noted.
Earlier, Hamas announced that Israel had unilaterally suspended the ceasefire.
"Israel has resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office reported in the evening.
"This came after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all offers from US Presidential Special Representative Steve Whitkoff and mediators," the statement said.
