Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message to the head of the Syrian transitional government, Ahmed al-Sharaa, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“Vladimir Putin has sent a message to the head of the Syrian state, Ahmed al-Sharaa, in which he expressed his support for efforts aimed at quickly stabilizing the situation in Syria in the interests of ensuring the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the country,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to Peskov, Putin confirmed his readiness to develop cooperation between the two countries in order to strengthen the traditionally friendly Russian-Syrian relations across the entire range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
