"We agreed with Mr. Walz (the US president's national security adviser) that consultations on the Ukraine issue will be held in a bilateral format by experts appointed by the presidents," said Ushakov, the assistant to the Russian president for international affairs. "The Russian side will be represented by Grigory Karasin, the chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, an adviser to the director of the Federal Security Service. They are realy experienced negotiators who are well-versed in international issues," Ushakov noted.
