"Russian-American talks will continue with the involvement of the international community" - Karasin

The dialogue between Russian and US expert groups that took place in the Saudi capital on Monday was not easy, but it was useful for both countries. This was reported to TASS by Grigory Karasin, head of the Russian Federation Council Committee on International Affairs and a member of the Russian delegation in Riyadh.
“It was a complex dialogue, but very useful for us and the Americans. Many issues were discussed. Of course, not every issue was resolved, not everything was agreed upon, but the fact that such a conversation took place seems to me to be very appropriate, given the emergence of a new administration and new political figures participating in the meeting,” Karasin said.
“Negotiations between Russia and the US will continue with the participation of the international community, including the UN and individual countries,” he added.
“In general, there was an impression of a necessary and constructive dialogue,” Karasin concluded.
It is reported that the Russian-American talks in Riyadh lasted 12 hours. A statement will be issued today based on the results of the meeting.
