Sybiga: "We are working on a new minerals agreement"
![]() 2272 Tuesday, 01 April, 2025, 16:33 Ukraine has already started negotiations with the United States on a new agreement on minerals, which was proposed by the United States. According to UNIAN, this was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga. “I confirm that on March 28, the Foreign Ministry received a new text of the so-called agreement on mineral resources from the American side through diplomatic channels,” Sibiga said. “We will work with our American partners to reach a mutually acceptable text for signing,” the Foreign Minister said. US President Donald Trump earlier announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to withdraw from the mineral deal. Trump warned that Zelensky would have “big problems” if he withdrew from the deal. Zelenskyy had announced that Kiev would not recognize military aid previously provided by the United States as loans that must be repaid, and had earlier complained that the United States was constantly changing the terms of the agreement. |
