Thousands of people protest against rearmament of Europe in Rome
![]() 639 Saturday, 05 April, 2025, 21:35 A large demonstration against the rearmament of Europe and in support of a fairer social policy took place in the center of the Italian capital. The organizers were representatives of the opposition party "Movement "5 stars"․ No less than 80 thousand people took part in the march. The action "No to rearmament. Stop them!" was supported by trade unions and associations fighting for civil rights. The speeches condemned the Italian government headed by Giorgia Meloni and the European Commission (EC). The party objects to the continued supply of weapons to Kyiv, calling for a negotiation process and diplomacy. |
