French President Emmanuel Macron called for a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue during a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo.

He said that in addition to the nuclear program, it is also important to discuss issues related to Iran's regional influence.

"Tehran's missile program and regional interventions are also among the issues that need to be resolved," Macron said.

"France and Egypt are seeking a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear crisis, which, if not resolved, poses a serious risk of increasing instability in the region," Macron said.
