Russia will take tough measures if Japan supplies Ukraine with weapons and military equipment, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
"We would like to warn that any steps by Japan to directly or indirectly participate in supplying Ukraine with weapons and military equipment that will be used to kill Russian citizens, or assist in training Ukrainian militants, are considered by us to be unequivocally hostile," she said.
"Against the backdrop of its course toward accelerated remilitarization, Japan is becoming increasingly involved in the conflict around Ukraine," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted.
