The Oman talks are just one of dozens of issues facing the foreign ministry, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said.

“Let’s not link the country’s problems to the talks. We are very pessimistic about the other side, but optimistic about our own capabilities.

The mistake we made during the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the 2015 agreement between six powers to prevent Iran from using its nuclear program for military purposes) should not be repeated.

At that time, we made the country dependent on the progress of the talks.

Investors do not invest when they see that the country is in the negotiation phase,” Khamenei said.
