Nebenzya: "A ceasefire at this stage is unrealistic"
![]() 296 Yesterday, 12:51 A ceasefire in Ukraine is currently impossible, since Kyiv, for its part, has failed to stop attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya told journalists following closed consultations of the UN Security Council, RIA Novosti reports. "We had an attempt at a limited ceasefire regarding energy infrastructure, which was not observed by the Ukrainian side. In these circumstances, talking about a ceasefire at this stage is simply unrealistic," Nebenzya said. He also added that whether the UN Security Council will formalize possible agreements between Russia and Ukraine depends on the conditions of a probable ceasefire and the wording in the document. |
