![]() 577 Thursday, 24 April, 2025, 14:03 In Russia, the pain of the fraternal Armenian people has always been perceived as their own pain. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing, referring to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. “Moscow’s position on the events of 1915 is well known: it is consistent and based on humanitarian principles,” Zakharova noted. According to her, Moscow was one of the first to officially recognize the genocide, and in 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to Armenia, took part in a ceremony to commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire and expressed sincere sympathy for the Armenian people. |
