Pakistan has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with the escalation of tensions with India. This was reported to TASS by a diplomatic source in the Security Council.
“Pakistan has requested a meeting of the Security Council. The date has not yet been set,” the agency’s source said, answering a question about Islamabad’s further actions in the face of the escalation of the conflict.
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on April 22 after a terrorist attack in the Indian city of Pahalgam, which killed 26 people. New Delhi accused Islamabad of involvement in the attack.
