#Axios: "New round of US-Iran talks could take place on May 10-11"

The next round of US-Iran nuclear talks could take place on May 10-11, an Axious correspondent reported in X, citing US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff.
“According to Witkoff, the US will hold a fourth round of nuclear talks with Iran this weekend,” the post said. Witkoff added that “if the talks don’t take place, it will only be because of the US president’s visit to the Middle East.”
According to the source, Witkoff is positive about the nuclear talks. According to him, the US president wants “the issue to be resolved diplomatically.”
The US and Iran have already held three rounds of indirect talks, mediated by Oman. The first took place on April 12 in Muscat, the second on April 19 in Rome, and the third on April 26, also in Muscat.
The media reports that the parties discussed some issues on April 26, but did not reach any agreement. According to The Wall Street Journal, the obstacle was the possibility for Tehran to continue enriching uranium.
