Vucic gave an interview from Red Square

After arriving in Moscow, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited Red Square, where he gave an interview to the media. The Serbian leader noted that his visit was important for Belgrade, including for rational reasons, as he was going to discuss gas supplies and the development of bilateral relations in general with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Serbian president noted that he had promised Putin to participate in the Victory Parade on May 9, and also informed the European authorities of his intentions. Regarding the pressure from them in connection with the visit to Moscow, Vučić believes that "if you are free, sovereign and independent, then no one will love you."
"I think there will be consequences, but there will be consequences first of all for me. Serbia will remain faithful to the European path, I will take responsibility and ask not to punish the whole country," he emphasized.
On his Instagram page, Vučić wrote that he "doesn't care what others say," because he was elected by the people of Serbia and came to Moscow for the sake of his country.
