"Trump wants to meet with Putin as soon as possible" - Rubio

White House President Donald Trump wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as soon as possible, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with CBS television channel.
"The US president wants to do it. He wants to meet (with Putin) as soon as possible. I think the Russian side has also expressed a willingness to do it. And now it's just a matter of getting everyone together, figuring out where and when this meeting will take place, and what it will be about," the State Department chief said.

Earlier, Trump announced a phone conversation with Putin on Monday. He detailed that he plans to discuss issues related to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and trade.
