Two Israeli embassy employees killed in Washington

A suspect is in custody after shooting dead two Israeli embassy staff outside a Jewish museum in Washington on Wednesday night.
US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem reported on social media X.
"Two Israeli embassy employees were senselessly murdered outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, DC tonight. We are actively investigating and working to obtain additional information," she wrote.
Before this, ABC reported that there was a shooting there, the victims of which could have been two people from the diplomatic mission.
According to NBC, the suspect was detained. It is alleged that, while surrendering to police officers, he shouted "Freedom for Palestine!"
Israel's Permanent Representative to the UN Danny Danon called the attack a cowardly act of anti-Semitic terrorism on his page on social media X.
President Donald Trump condemned the shooting. "These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!" he said in a message on Truth Social. "Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA."
