Brigadier General Nasirzadeh emphasized the special strategic importance of relations between Iran and Armenia during his conversation with the RA Defense Minister. “Armenia occupies a special place in Iran’s good-neighborly policy, and relations between Tehran and Yerevan are based on a solid historical and cultural foundation. Stable peace in the Caucasus will open up wide opportunities for regional development,” the minister said. “The common border between Iran and Armenia is a historical link between the two peoples, and Tehran will not allow any encroachment on this border,” Nasirzadeh said, noting that protecting territorial integrity and stability of regional borders remains an unchanging principle of Iran’s foreign policy. |
