"Russia has sufficient resources to end the conflict with the desired outcome" - Putin

Russia wants to end the conflict in Ukraine with the result it needs, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters in Minsk.
“We want to end the special military operation with the result we need. Of course, that’s what we hope for,” Putin said.
At the same time, the Russian president noted that Russia, unlike the West, plans to reduce, not increase, defense spending.
In May, Putin said that the result Moscow needs is to eliminate the causes of the conflict in Ukraine and ensure conditions for long-term peace.
“In addition, the security of the state and the interests of those who consider Russian their native language and Russia their homeland must be ensured,” the president noted.
According to Putin, Russia has enough resources “to bring what was started in 2022 to a logical conclusion with the result that Russia needs, even without the use of nuclear weapons.”
