"Immediately resume work with the IAEA" - Macron to Pezeshkian
![]() 418 Monday, 30 June, 2025, 10:22 French President Emmanuel Macron called on Iran to abide by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in a phone conversation with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. Macron wrote about this on his X page. “My main messages were: the observance of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the immediate resumption of the IAEA’s work in Iran to ensure full transparency,” the post said. The presidents of the two countries also discussed, in particular, the issues of maintaining the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and returning to the negotiating table to discuss the nuclear program. Earlier, the Iranian parliament voted to suspend cooperation with the IAEA. |
