"US Wants to Resume Talks with Iran" - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister

Tehran has received information through intermediaries about the US's desire to resume talks with Iran, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said.
"US President Donald Trump's administration has informed Iran through intermediaries that it wants to return to talks, but has not clarified its position on the "very important issue" of further attacks on Iran during the talks," ISNA quoted him as saying.
According to Ravanchi, if the US wants to resume talks with Iran, it must guarantee that it will not attack Iran in the future. No dates have been set for possible talks yet, the Iranian deputy foreign minister added.
Recall that Iran and the US have held five rounds of indirect talks on Iran's nuclear program, mediated by Oman. The sixth round was supposed to take place on June 15, but was canceled due to the Iran-Israel conflict.
